Day to Day

Here's an idea of what we do day by day.  In the last week Sister Childers has painted the back porch of the Heber C. Kimball home, painted windows in the John Taylor home, cleaned the paint shop, cleaned and stocked the paint truck and been taught the correct way to paint a door with six windows.  Elder Childers has cleaned and stocked his pick up, repaired a pedestal sink, investigated a water leak in a bathroom ceiling fan (turns out that the HVAC unit in the attic above the bathroom had a broken immersion pump and water was overflowing from a capture tray under the unit. Plumbers replaced the pump), replaced weatherstripping, drywalled a damaged wall, repaired a broken drawer, fixed a broken refrigerator handle, performed daily inspections of an assigned area and requested various repairs, replaced door sweeps, and replaced historic bronze weatherstriping.  We also performed in Sunset by the Mississppi, attended a Canada Day potluck, attended church, attended an Amish dinner, drove two hours to shop at an Amish grocery store, ate frozen yogurt at a local shop, hosted some Nauvoo visitors who are related to the Ashby family, in whose home we live, attended two commemoration events on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the Prophet Joseph and his brother Hyrum, washed the car, attended mission training....

You get the idea.
