Cistern Discovery

One of the senior missionaries discovered an old stone lined cistern under a bush when he was investigating a drainage problem. It's about twenty feet deep and had a very old and rotted wooden lid. We removed that and crafted a new one.  The FM group here bought two semi trailer loads of roughsawn two inch thick cypress from Florida.  Beautiful and durable wood a lot like cedar.
