Here's a few pictures from President Nelson's visit last week..The first picture is of our mission president, President Lusvardi. He's a very energetic guy and a great teacher. That's followed by President Ballard and his cousin, the Community of Christ apostle. President Ballard is the Great-great-great grandson of Hyrum Smith, the brother of Joseph Smith and the Community of Christ apostle is the G-G-G-GS of Joseph Smith. They have a friendly relationship and belong to the same family organization. Our church recently completed a clean up and beautification project for the Smith Family Cemetery where the Prophet Joseph and Hyrum are buried. The next picture shows all of our visitors including the secretary to the President and his wife, President Ballard, Sister Nelson, and the Prophet at the podium. On the other side are Sheri Dew and President Nelson's daughter and her husband, who are presiding over the Nauvoo Temple.
Then a wonderful picture of the Prophet and a group picture. We're in the back somewhere.
What an incredible way to start our mission in Nauvoo. We know that a prophet of God was in our midst.
In our mission training today President Lusvardi show a video of two young sister missionaries (YSM) teaching a tour lesson at the Riser Shoe Shop in a little room to the Prophet, President Ballard and Sister Nelson. Wow!
