We got to work for a few minutes on an archaeological dig. This is the home of Samuel Smith, the brother of the Prophet Joseph. You can see the excavated foundation of his house. We dug about a square foot of his front yard, down about four inches. Then we sifted the dirt and saved any artifacts. We found a piece of pottery and a small portion of a mirror.
