Rope a Dope

This blog title refers to Mohammed Ali's tactics in fighting and defeating George Foreman...but, it's the only thing I could think of that used the word "rope".
We found a very large ball of heavy blue yarn as we were cleaning the FLC.  It is too coarse to make shawls out of so we were going to dispose of it...but then attended a mission training on community service project ideas for this winter.  Elder Bingham suggested to me that we make these ropes that he and I had been playing around with and donate them as jump ropes to local schools.  We're going to see if any want them.
Today at the FLC Elder Bramwell, a teamster who happened to be assigned to FLC today, worked with me making rope.  We also made foil dinners in the coals from the beehive oven.  They overcooked. We'll keep running that play until we get it right...
I bought some red, green, gold and silver curling ribbon and wove it into the rope.  We're replacing the ropes we have in the FLC on stanchions with this for the Christmas season.

Not too bad!
