Young Performing Missionaries

In May we have 50 Young Performing Missionaries (YPMs) show up - split about half and half between singing and dancing YPMs and the Nauvoo Brass Band. The YPMs are chosen from hundreds of applicants and are incredibly talented.  In October we had a mission president's seminar held in Nauvoo and we had the singing and dancing YPMs return for a few days to perform for the mission presidents as well as the community.  We got to cook for them   It was pretty fun.
Got my cool YPM shirt on...that's really why I'm doing this - so I can get a shirt!
Sister Childers is the one who does the work.  No surprise there to anyone who knows us.
Hungry missionaries enjoying dinner.  Next summer when we cook for them there will be twice this many...and we'll be feeding them for FOUR MONTHS!  It's going to be fun...and a little bit of work, too.
Sister Childers frying chicken pieces to make sweet and sour chicken.  I may have mentioned that you can buy frozen sweet and sour chicken that you just heat up.  She may possibly have rolled her eyes at me.  Maybe.
